Homemade Manuka Honey Cough Syrup
Ingredients:
- 2 cups water
- 8 Tbs. chopped, fresh thyme
- 1 cup Manuka Doctor Manuka honey
- Optional: 4-6 slices of fresh Ginger
Directions:
- Put the water in a small saucepan over medium heat and let it come to a boil.
- Remove boiling water from heat, add thyme (& Ginger slices if using) , and steep for at least 10 minutes.
- Pour in the Manuka honey and stir until thoroughly dissolved.
- Pour mixture into an airtight, glass jar, and store in the fridge.
- Strain before using / 2 teaspoons each time throat is feeling irritated.
Optional Addition if enjoy the flavour: 4-6 slices of fresh Ginger
Storage:
- Good for three weeks if refrigerated
